PhD Program and Council Task Force

Task Force group leader: Prof. Dr. Cees Tack

Obtaining the best science requires optimal PhD training. The IGMD PhD Program Taskforce will offer a comprehensive training program consisting of different modules, including basic science techniques, applied clinical research and methodology training, regulatory issues, scientific writing, presentation techniques and networking. Our aim is to create tailor-made programs by combining different modules dependent on the specific type of PhD-research. The program will be able to serve the whole range of (bench to bedside) research and allow individual researchers to use their talents in the most excellent way.

Training and Supervision Plan (TSP)

Each PhD student formulates a Training and Supervision Plan (TSP) together with his/her promotor within three months from the start of the appointment as a PhD student. In this plan it is considered which courses will be followed and the manner and frequency of supervision. Subsequently, the TSP will be appraised by a TSP Committee and an independent mentor will be assigned. Click here for latest TSP format
