Grant Coordination Task Force

The aim of the Grant Coordination Taskforce is to further improve the grant application of IGMD members in order to increase our success rate of funding. To this end, colleagues applying for a personal grant including VENI, VIDI and VICI grants, will receive a coach weeks before the submission deadline who will assist in the application process. Guidance is given during the grant writing, but also rehearsal presentations are organized which mimic the real NWO interviews. Preferentially a PI is appointed as coach to supervise the applicant. We will also pro-actively spot and coach candidates with a high potential for a personal grant. Furthermore, grant opportunities on national and international level will be communicated to our members via the website and newsletters. Finally, collaborative grant applications within the IGMD and beyond will be stimulated to further increase the changes of funding. Ultimately, our efforts will boost the funding of the IGMD members so that our research can excel and blossom in unity.
