The Task Force Diagnostic Innovation has the aim to stimulate rapid implementation of novel diagnostic approaches in routine genetic and metabolic diagnostics. The entire process from development to validation and subsequent implementation will be addressed. Optimal service and top quality diagnostics applying novel technology will be offered. To reach these goals we will:

Stimulate novel translational research initiatives including the preparation of grant proposals

Stimulate the highest level of service including reduced turn around times in consultation with physicians and patients

Promote the best level of laboratory quality control

Promote the highest level of professional expertise, e.g. by offering optimal training facilities for and recruiting of top-level laboratory specialists

Stimulate contacts between the different laboratories participating in IGMD and within the RUNMC by organizing regular meetings
